We had our last art group meeting yesterday. Maia starts preschool next week, as do many of the kids in the group, and I'm counting down to baby arrival time. It seems like a good time to close this chapter of our lives (again), at least temporarily. I decided to keep it easy but fun with a painting free for all. We set out lots of paints, brushes, sponges, rollers, combs, tractors, rubber snakes and lizards, and playdough rolling and stamping tools. The kids had a blast and created some interesting art.
For my mom, it was her first art group experience. She commented to one of the other moms that she had read articles about it and seen pictures of the group on my blog but it never came with SOUND before. Our art group can be noisy and somewhat chaotic (but fun!). Apparently it looks a lot more serene in still photos than it is in real life!
