Sorry about the teaser the other day. I didn't mean to do that and shouldn't have said anything (until I was prepared to actually say something!). Anyway, my big, exciting announcement is that I'm going to write a book. Many of you have asked me over the years if I would. Or when I would. Or encouraged me to write one. It never quite seemed the right time for me timewise or kidwise or self-confidence wise. But now? Yes. I think I'm ready.
The book will be about encouraging children's art and creativity (big surprise) and will be published in the spring of 2013.
2013 seems terribly far away, especially as we're just dipping our toes into 2011. But as I think about the upcoming year, I'm thinking about it as the year of the book. A year of writing, of course, but also a year of self growth. A year of stretching my limits in new ways (can I really do this?!). A year in which I graduate from my little Canon PowerShot to a digital SLR camera (I have my eye on the Canon Rebel T2i) and really learn how to use it. And above all, a year of exploring art with the kiddos in my life.
So there you go. A book! I'm excited. A tad scared, but excited.
