Revolution 46 is a small family business that makes and sells cool shirts for cool kids. The shirt designs range from robots and ninjas to big brother/little brother shirts and birthday shirts. As a family with two young boys, designing cool shirts for their own cool kids, most of their styles are currently for boys.
But... They've recently added a couple of shirts for girls, too, with the girliest of girlie shirts—pink with a unicorn AND a rainbow. My two girlie girls are in love.
Joe, the father and co-owner of Revolution 46, sent me the unicorn shirts and a ninja shirt to try out and review. The ninja shirt went to Kai, a very cool three year old we know who loves ninjas.
He smiled a great big smile when he saw it and later said, "I like it because it's red and there's a ninja on it fighting with one arm. When I wear it, I feel like a ninja." (His mom said, "It's darn cute!")
Maia wore her new unicorn shirt to school for her first day of 2nd grade (and Daphne wore hers just because). This is the same kid who asked for a rainbow fairies and unicorn party for her birthday last year. She still loves pink and purple and all things rainbow, fairy, and unicorn, so a pink shirt with a pink unicorn and a big rainbow? Pretty much perfect in her eyes.
Daphne's, too.
Revolution 46 is owned and run by Frannie and Joe, who were inspired by their kids Max and Ben to turn their love of fashion into a business that they could all be a part of. Frannie is a former fashion buyer and merchandiser; Joe is a furniture designer and budding photographer. They say that their sons are their "inspiration, models, some-times designers and most definitely, toughest critics."
Frannie and Joe create and print their own designs using non-toxic, water-based dyes. By buying their t-shirts, you'll be supporting a small family business while clothing your kids in fun, unique t-shirts that are environmentally friendly.

The random number generator gave me #110, so Lisa M. wins the t-shirt of her choice. Congrats! (I will e-mail you.)
My son Owen just had his Kindegarten visit day and the teacher read the book Kindergarten Rocks. I would choose the t-shirt of the same name to re-enforce the idea that it's ok to be a little nervous about going to school for the first time.
